Kitchen Remodel Phase 2-The Walls come tumbling down.....

So It has been crazy around here! We bought out appliances a few months ago and finally made the plunge to start working on the new kitchen. Of course we had already started working at school. So not only do we work all day we come home to our lovely kitchen to work on. I don't think that we knew what in the world we were getting into!

Here is the last view of our kitchen like it was before. It's odd since we started this project in October, I have not seen these pictures in a loooooooong time and I have forgotten what the kitchen looked like.

You can see where we started stacking kitchen stuff

The old Kitchen in all of its tiny glory

The first step once we decided to work on the kitchen was to remove the wall. Our kitchen had the traditional U-shape to it. We wanted to open that up so that it flowed more with all of the other rooms. To do this, we had to remove the wall along the highway and rearrange the appliances.

Here are our old messages for when we fixed the wall 2 years ago.

Taking it down.

So much dust! The tile was super hard to get down.

I was trying to protect the new stove but it still got a little dent.:(

New open view. Looks bigger already.

Erik worked really hard to take down all of the drywall. The biggest issue was dealing with the tile on the inside wall of the kitchen.
